JOB TITLE: External Affairs and MarCom Intern

FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt

REPORTS TO: 

DIVISION: Marketing & Communications- External Affairs

DIRECT REPORTS:  N/A

JOB SUMMARY

The External Affairs and MarCom Intern will provide direct support to the External Affairs, Marketing, Events and Resource Development teams.  Projects will be diverse and include administrative tasks as well as participation in planning and executing programs at the Clubs of other venues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Coordinates with Boys & Girls Clubs member organizations through statewide Alliance
  • Assists in gathering content and creating collaterals to highlight impact and outcomes 
  • Assists staff with the planning and implementation of key events, including but not limited to State of Youth, AZ Youthforce Incubator, Town Hall, State Youth of the Year program and Legislative Day

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION

  • Associate’s degree in Education, Public Programs, Social Change, Journalism or Communications

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to write (public relations, social media and/or marketing materials
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing multiple social media platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate and direct multiple activities with varied deadlines and deliver in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex information and recommend efficient, practical and high impact solutions/systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively while demonstrating emotional intelligence

 

WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING

  • Travel between BGCAZ Branches and community sites may be required occasionally.
  • Work is performed in our Program Services Center-Administrative offices
