Job Description


The Director of Evaluation and Impact will provide leadership and day-to-day management in the organization’s evolution toward a more data driven culture.  This position will be responsible for overseeing the creation of comprehensive data systems that will allow BGCAZ to make data-informed decisions and uphold the highest level of standards for performance and outcomes.  This position will ensure consistent data collection, analysis, and learning exists across BGCAZ so that data can best inform strategic direction and oversight of the organization. 


  • Encourages BGCAZ “Rules of Engagement” and incorporates into day to day interactions with staff


  • Leads all of BGCAZ’s design and management of consistent systems for data tracking, collection and analysis


  • Develops comprehensive data standards, policies, and procedures to create efficient and reliable, quality data entry and measurement


  • Develops and analyzes all indicators and outcomes to assist and guide leadership teams in making appropriate strategic and programmatic decisions 


  • Researches best practices and implements necessary data collection, analysis, and evaluation methods throughout the organization


  • Leads the process of scheduling and facilitating regular data audits and trainings for all staff 


  • Translates and disseminates evaluation results to assist with policy discussions, support refinement of programs, and inform key resource allocation and investment decisions


  • Designs, oversees and executes monitoring processes, policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), including audits, as needed


  • Provides accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reports and narratives to various internal and external stakeholders 


  • Participates in regular reviews of data with senior management, administrative, and program teams 


  • Develops partnerships with external evaluators and other organizations to help advance BGCAZ’s evaluation and research capacities, serving as the liaison with such collaborators


  • Provides organization staff with internal performance management reports that show progress toward the achievement of goals and outcomes



  • High school diploma or equivalency 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data system administration, program evaluation and impact analysis
  • Minimum of 3 years experiencing leading work teams or projects to solve problems and improve processes
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in non-profit/social sector business operations
  • Minimum of 3 years experience supervising staff



  • Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee data collection and management, analysis, research, and evaluation
  • Effective operational and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive action plans and see them through to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate and direct multiple activities with varied deadlines and deliver in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex information and recommend creative, practical and high impact solutions
  • Demonstrated understanding of assessing outcomes and creating policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively while demonstrating emotional intelligence
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel power-user)
  • Extreme attention to detail and strong follow through skills



  • Travel between BGCAZ Branches, schools and community sites is required
  • Work is performed in our Program Services Center-Administrative offices
