Arts Coordinator
Position Overview: The Arts Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the artistic and cultural programs of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley. Reporting to the Academic & Arts Manager, the Arts Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of various arts-related initiatives that are designed to foster creativity, learning, and artistic expression for youth and teens.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Youth Development Professionals and community partners to develop and enhance arts programs, including performing, digital, graphic and fine arts that cater to youth and teen members.
Establishes arts programming, workshops, and activities that foster creativity, learning, and artistic expression for youth and teens.
Leads the planning and coordination of art exhibitions, performances, workshops, and cultural events for the organization.
Recruits, and manages partners, instructors, volunteers and artists involved in the programs to ensure smooth program execution.
Supports the cultivation and maintenance of relationships with local artists, cultural institutions, sponsors, and community partners.
Collaborates with Data & Evaluation team to evaluate program success and identify areas for improvement.
Fosters a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages creativity, professional growth, and effective community-based educational practices.
Assists in managing budgets for arts programs and events, tracking expenses and revenues.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
1 years of programmatic experience
Current Arizona Driver’s license
Knowledge of the arts community, including familiarity with various artistic disciplines and trends.
Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Creativity and a passion for the arts, coupled with an understanding of youth development.
